Options? Necessity?

After Cataclysm, I was going to change my Blood Elf pally into a Tauren, but probably not for $25. I figured it was going to be $10. A buddy of mine called me today to let me know that it went live, and I was really shocked at how much it was going to cost.

Definitely too expensive, especially before we know what the new "cooler" racials are going to be. Either way, I'm sticking with my hunched over troll.

Looks good but I doubt I will have a need for it.

Cost? Well, since I have no intention of doing it, I guess $25 is OK (I was expecting $30 actually). I have no idea how labor-intensive it will be on Blizzard's end (although I imagine they've got it pretty well automated), so $25 might be reasonable.
Options? Why do we need options? Do it, or do not. There is no option. Necessity? Definitely not. It's a convenience for players who suddenly discover they have friends playing on the other wide, honestly, so they don't have to go through the whole "1-80 grind" again, but having taken a brand-new toon from 1 to 61 (and some change) in a month, I can say without fear of logical contradiction that the grind is NOTHING like it used to be, especially now that flying mounts are available in Outland at level 60. Shoot, I got a level just flying from FP to FP this week. I'm glad the function is available, but I don't want or need it myself.

Cost: $25 is way too expensive
Options: Good Necessity: Maybe for some. I was looking forward to changing my Undead DK into something different (I know, I didn't understand the lore when I made it), but not for $25. |

I will never use it. After about 20 levels of playing a toon I have a good idea whether I like it or not. If I'm not feeling a toon by then, I'm not going to play it any more. A level 20 character isn't worth $25 to make a change. I'd rather just start a new one.
Only the strongest toons survive on my account. Cost? seems resonable if you absolutely hate your main toons race and want a change Options? Everything I would expect Necessity? Don't think so. We've survived without for all this time. Last edited by Hodirs_Helm; 10-27-2009 at 07:30 PM. |

I think the cost, while expected, is a bit extreme.
I was hoping for the ability to become a race/class combo not available, such as blood elf druid, but I had figured it would not be possible. I honestly don't see this being of benefit to very many people. Most people already know what race they want to be when they make a character. |

Now I kind of like this because before you had to pay 60 dollars with a 60 day wait in bettween to change lets say your gnome to a night elf and the 25 dollars isn't bad compared to what you had to do before but I do have to say that I wish that all blizzard's sevice sould be at the most 15 dollars but all in all its not bad and if you think anothers traits help you more than go ahead and transfer.
