Yep, I think every BG iteration, including Icewind Dale and the PS2 Dark Alliance ports, has giant rats in the kitchen/pantry as a first quest.

I do like the dialogue. I made a female rogue and she gets to make some catty responses.

I read that there is at least one DA novel out there. I wonder if they considered doing the storyline as a novel - maybe even six for the different origin types.

Minsc and Boo are terribly disappointed that Bioware didn't keep them in all their RPGs after Baldur's Gate..

Man, this game is bleak... But it just keeps getting better - the story is just really damn good.

I downloaded the rest of the trailers off the PSN - Dalish Elf origin, etc. Sacred Ashes is still the best.

So getting this. If it's anything like Mass Effect then it will be amazing.

it's not like mass effect,

it's more tactical imo, in mass effect for the most part you could leave your team to do what they want, in DA you really, really need to work with your team to survive.

Anybody working on any particular character builds - et al in the Mage persuasion? I'm finding myself really indecisive, and ultimately think I'm spreading myself too thin amongst too many trees. Also trying to complement other spellcaster's (Morrigan) in the group.
