I can only think of a few things Bliz could do that would make me quit WoW. The first is if they got rid of PvE servers. WoW is my first MMO and I didn't know a thing about PvP vs PvE and my (and my hubby's) first toon went to lvl 70 (before Wrath) on a PvP server. Let me tell ya, never again. We were already drifting away from WoW due to the un-fun nature of PvP (for us) when I found out about AIE and PvE servers. It opened up the game for us again. I will never, ever go back to PvP. (I dont begrudge PvP ppl thier servers - to each his/her own I say)
The other one I would have to think long and hard about is if they started offering stat-affecting gear for sale for real money. I am blessed to be able to probably buy the things that would strike my fancy, but I dont know that I would want to play a game with that mentality. I think it would skew the game and player base way too much for me to want to hang around anymore. I also doubt they would ever even consider doing any of those two things, so I think I am safe.

None of these changes bother me, or bother me anymore (PvE>PvP). The only place Blizzard really, really pisses me off is their pilot-induced-oscillation as the de facto reality of their attempts to balance classes.
They've repeatedly done the DK class wrong since release, in terms of PvP viability, by listening to too many whiney users unable to maximize their own "OP" PvP classes (read: mage, lock, shaman, hunter, paladin) making drastic changes that fly in the face of similar or stronger abilities in the classes doing the most complaining. But it won't make me quit. It just made me rediscover how much I enjoy PvP on my rogue instead. |
